안녕하세요?
아래는 이번에 2학년을 마친 제 아들의 선생님이 6월 25일 1년을 마치고 학부모님들에게 감사의 이메일을 보낸 내용입니다.
한해동안 제가 2달에 한번(1학년때는 매달했었는데) 학교에서 학부모 volunteer를 했습니다. 3시간 정도 학교가서 애들 공부하는 것 봐주고 채점하고 같이 놀아주고... 처음에는 영어가 안돼서 겁도 났는데 한국사람은 눈치 빠르잖아요? 그냥 묻어 갔습니다.
마지막날 가보니 한국은 잘 모르겠지만 선생님에게 작은 카드를 주는 학부모님들이 많았습니다. 거창한 선물보다는 카드 한장에 더 진한 마음이 담겨 있으리라 생각합니다. 물론 학부모 대표가 10불씩 내서 선물하나 사 주자고 해서 돈을 내긴 했지만 그래도 덜 부담이 되더라구요. 무엇보다 한해동안 건강하게 학교 다녀준 우리 아들에게 제일 감사드립니다.

Your support, encouragement, and prayers have made a world of difference. 2K has so many people to be thankful to for so many things. The successes at GCA are greatly attributed to the community's commitment to the Lord and the dedication of so many volunteers. Thank you for all your time and effort dedicated to your child's experience in 2K.
I would also like to thank you for the generous year end gifts. The kind words written in cards touched my teacher heart and were sincerely appreciated. Thank you so much for the thoughtfulness that went into the cards and gifts. I feel truly blessed to be a teacher at GCA and to be part of such a supportive and uplifting community.
My prayer is for all of the 2K families to have an enjoyable and rejuvenating summer break. May God keep you and your family safe and healthy. Please feel free to keep in touch and to stop by my classroom in the years to come. I can't thank you enough for everything!
